Who We Are

Milton Quran Institute was founded in 2010 as a weekend school with a simple but powerful vision: to make quality Qur’anic education accessible to every Muslim family in Milton and the surrounding region. What began with a small group of dedicated students and teachers has grown, by the grace of Allah, into Milton’s first and most comprehensive Islamic educational institute. Over fifteen years, MQI has expanded from weekend Tajweed classes into a full-time school offering everything from beginner Qaida for young children to complete Quran memorization (Hifz), an elementary school following the Ontario curriculum with integrated Islamic studies, and seasonal camps that keep children connected to the Quran year-round. In recent years, MQI moved to a newer, bigger campus to better serve our growing community — a milestone that reflects both the trust families place in us and our commitment to continually raising the standard of Islamic education in the Halton Region.

At MQI, the Quran and Sunnah are the foundation of everything we teach. Our primary objective is to help students recite the Quran with correct Makharij (pronunciation points) and Tajweed rules. To achieve this, we maintain low student-to-teacher ratios with skilled educators who combine classical Islamic scholarship with modern, child-centered teaching methods. We strongly believe that a life lived according to the Quran begins with understanding it. That is why our programs go beyond recitation — integrating Islamic studies, character building, and for our full-time students, core academics — to prepare children for success in this world and the hereafter.
